Scanline Generator

Scanline Generator is an extension that creates customizable scanline effects for your pixel art.

Easily generate and manage scanlines using shortcuts and configuration options.

How To Install

1. Download the file here.
2. Execute the .aseprite-extension and install that.
3. Restart Aseprite to use this plugin.

Requirements

A sprite must be open to use this extension. If no sprite is open, you will not be able to access the menu to use the extension. 

How to use

Access all features through the Edit menu.

1.1 Create Scanlines

Generates scanlines on your active layer using your predefined settings.
Ctrl + Alt + S - shortcut to create

1.2 Delete Scanlines

Removes all scanline layers matching your configured naming pattern.
Ctrl + Alt + D - shortcut to delete

1.3 Configuration

Fine-tune every aspect of your scanlines with these parameters:

Core Parameters

Parameter	Description
Orientation	Defines the scanline direction:
Color	HEX/RGB color value applied to scanlines
Pattern	Pattern style of scanlines

Line Geometry

Parameter	Description
Size	Thickness of scanlines in pixels.
Space Between Lines	Spacing between scanlines (center-to-center distance).
Dash Length	Length of dashes (applies only to Dashed pattern).
Dot Space Dotted	Gap between dots (applies to Dotted or dashed  patterns).

Layer Settings

Parameter	Description
Layer Name	Name prefix for generated layers
Layer Blend Mode	Blend mode for the scanline layer

Opacity Controls

Parameter	Description
Opacity Horizontal	Opacity adjustment for horizontal scanlines.
Opacity Vertical	Opacity adjustment for vertical scanlines.
Layer Opacity	Master opacity for the entire scanline layer.

You can also restore all parameters to their original values using the button  "Reset to Default".
